Once you get a job offer, you can start reading it and highlighting the key words they use. For instance if the job offer insists on words such as “cooperation”, “team work”; you know you can then use those same words in your resume.
Likewise, you know you’ll likely get questions about them in your job interview so you’ll need to prepare them well.
You can then take the research even further and try to get answers to the following questions:
- What are the other projects in the company?
- How does the company works?
- Who’s in the company?
- What kind of technologies, frameworks, languages or tools are used?
- Do you know anybody at that company who could recommend you?
- What are the key values and traits that are seeked by the company for that job?
- How old is the company?
- What is the general culture/vibe of the company?
- What kind of services and/or products do the company provide?
- What are the long-term goals of the company?
